The fat-freezing procedure is a leading non-surgical superficial fat (underneath the skin) reduction treatment. Fat-freezing uses cryolipolysis technology - controlled cooling that freezes and reduces fat cells. The targeted fat cells gradually disappear naturally through the body’s normal metabolic process. Fat cells that are frozen during the cryolipolysis procedure are gradually destroyed and leave the body through the body's natural elimination process. Fat reduction only occurs in the treatment area and untreated areas will have no change in fat cell distribution.
Before the treatment starts the area to be treated is marked out and photos are taken. The treatment applicators are then positioned on your body and a vacuum effect and controlled cooling occurs. During the treatment you can relax.
Each session normally takes 30 minutes to complete. Afterwards, the treatment provider will massage the area for a couple of minutes. Then you should be able to return to your normal routine. A check in will occur after 4 weeks of the first treatment.
DOES CRYOLIPOLYSIS TREATMENT HURTS
Initially the cooling may feel uncomfortable, you will feel pressure and intense cold. This subsides within minutes and becomes more bearable.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
For most people results will be apparent after three months. A minimum of four sessions per area is required. Your treatment plan will be prescribed at your consultation.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
After the treatment, side effects include temporary numbness, redness, inflammation, bruising, firmness and tingling. These side effects can last up to three weeks. All possible side effects are discussed before treatment.
